About the Role
Polisher and Finisher
The main responsibilities will include:
Polish and finish marble, quartz, granite and ceramic surfaces.
Use polishing machines, hand tools and other finishing equipment safely and correctly.
Achieve smooth, consistent and high-quality finishes according to specifications.
Carry out edge finishing, profiling, honing and polishing.
Inspect finished pieces for scratches, imperfections and other defects.
Prepare surfaces for installation and ensure they meet quality standards.
Maintain and clean tools, machinery and the working area.
Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
Work closely with cutters, installers and other members of the production team.
Handle stone and finished products carefully to prevent damage.
Requirements
Previous experience in stone polishing, finishing or a similar role is an advantage.
Good knowledge of marble, quartz, granite and other stone/ceramic materials.
Experience using polishing machines and hand tools is preferred.
Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a production environment.
Reliable, responsible and willing to learn.
Good time-management and ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of workplace health & safety procedures.
Previous experience in a stone/marble workshop is considered an advantage.
