About the Role
Operator
The main responsibilities will include:
Operate and monitor CNC 5-axis cutting and Water Jet machinery.
Set up machines according to technical drawings, measurements and cutting programmes.
Load, position and securely fix marble, quartz, granite, ceramic and other stone slabs.
Carry out accurate cutting, drilling, shaping and profiling.
Read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
Check finished pieces for accuracy, quality and correct dimensions.
Make machine adjustments when required to achieve precise results.
Work efficiently to minimise material waste.
Carry out basic machine cleaning, checks and maintenance.
Identify and report machine faults or production issues.
Follow all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
Work closely with the production and finishing teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
Requirements
Previous experience operating CNC machinery, Water Jet machinery or similar equipment is an advantage.
Experience working with marble, quartz, granite, ceramic or other stone materials is considered an advantage.
Ability to read technical drawings and work accurately from measurements.
Good understanding of machine operation and production processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good problem-solving and practical skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physically capable of working in a workshop/production environment.
Reliable, responsible and willing to learn.
Previous experience is preferred, but training may be provided to the right candidate.
A valid driving licence is considered an advantage.
